Stevie Christine Ballsmider was baptized on February 24, 2008 by her dad, Thad. He also baptized her cousin Carly. Pastor Doug shared with both of the girls before they got in the hot tub. They use New Hope Church's hot tub to baptize their congregation in an evening service. We went out to dinner afterwards and I got a photo of the two girls holding their roses. (For the scrapbook ofcourse)
Sonny was my baby brother (3 years younger) and he passed away in 2000. I still miss him but his love endures through his family. I see so much of him in his girls. His little light shines through them. This is the last photo taken of him with his girls just a couple of months before he passed away.
Happy Birthday Sonny. I miss you and love you! I loved your sense of humor and you always made me laugh. I still laugh when I think of all the funny things you use to say to me. I loved hanging out with you and watching you play golf at Stone Mountain. I loved watching you be a daddy to Holly, Jenny, Kristy and a husband to Sandy. For me, you will always be my sweet baby brother.
As we get closer to spring it makes me nostalgic for the South and all my family. I worked on some pages from our 2003 Reunion at Snow United Methodist. (I can still taste the banana pudding and the peach pie..yum!) Now that our sweet Cousins Bill and Vicky have gone to be with the Lord these photos bear sweet memories but also a longing to reunite. That will come later. It is nice to no that in Heaven there are no more goodbyes! Thank You Jesus for that gift of eternal life! Blessings to you all, my sweet cousins and family!
This is one of my favorite vacations ever!! It was just for me!! I joined my girlfriend there as a treat from her husband so us girls could have some girl time. It was so delightful to have all that time to lounge around by the pool and go out to dinner every evening. Next time I would like to go back with my family.
This was one of those rare sunny spring days in the Pacific Northwest! We took a walk on the beach nearby, where my daughter was house sitting. Their dog Hodges was a great pal for Thadius. These are my all time favorite beach photos with my family. My grandson had a little dachshund follow him all the way down the beach.
